Day 1San José

Arrive at any time.
Day 2San José/La Fortuna

Soak in local hot springs. Opt for one of the many adventure activities such as whitewater rafting or a horseback ride to a local waterfall.
Day 3La Fortuna

Free day in La Fortuna. Experience the outdoor adventures and amazing wildlife and natural wonders in this area.
Day 4La Fortuna/Monte Verde(1L)

From La Fortuna, head around the volcano to the shore of Lake Arenal. Hop in a launch and enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous scenery. Then take a van on rough roads through dense forest and arrive in the mountains of Monteverde. On the way, stop at a coffee plantation to learn all about the magic brew and eat a delicious lunch made from locally grown fresh produce.
Day 5Monte Verde

Guided tour of Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. Opt to fly above the trees on a canopy zipline tour, go horseback riding in the hills, drive ATVs off-road, and search for wildlife at night (see glow-in-the-dark mushrooms). The list is long.
Day 6Monte Verde/Quepos

Time to warm up again. Travel south to the steamy beach community near Manuel Antonio. Opt to visit Manuel Antonio NP or relax on the beach near this fun surf town of Quepos. Opt for a night out and learn how to salsa.
Day 7Quepos

Free day to visit Manuel Antonio National Park, sail, snorkel or surf in the Pacific, kayak through mangroves or relax on the beach.
Day 8Quepos/San José

Opt to chill at the beach in the morning before the journey back to the capital.
Day 9San José

Depart at any time.
